Nancy Lark, MMS, MESS, FAARFM, RDN, ACCBHC, is a Functional Medicine Practitioner who has been working with clients for over 30 years helping them to transform their health and their lives. She has an extensive and varied background in both the conventional and integrative nutrition field, has been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for over 30 years, and completed a Masters in Exercise and Sport Science to become an exercise physiologist over 20 years ago. Ms. Lark’s early career focused on preventive wellness working with individuals, groups, hospitals and in corporate and private practice settings utilizing Lifestyle Medicine to optimize health. Nancy specialized in obesity research and treatment with a Hospital Medical Center Weight Management program and then as the Wellness Coordinator for Rochester Center for Obesity Research and Treatment, previously located in Rochester Hills, MI.
In 2005, Ms. Lark began training in Functional Medicine, completed the Advanced Fellowship program with the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine (A4M) in 2008, earned a second MS in Medical Sciences with a concentration in Metabolic Nutrition and Medicine, from the College of Medicine at the University of South Florida in 2010, then opened a private Functional Medicine Nutrition practice, Optimal Health Solutions, in 2011. She has completed training with the Institute for Functional Medicine and the Center for Mind Body Medicine, is a Certified Brain Health Coach with the Daniel Amen Clinics, and has training in specialized emotional healing techniques. Functional Medicine is a powerful field of medicine which identifies the root causes of health issues and works to create balance in the body so the body can heal itself. She is a lifestyle medicine and gut health expert (“All health comes from the gut”, as Hippocrates said) helping clients with multiple symptoms and health issues get their health and life back using online Telehealth technology.
