Dr. Doug Uhlig is a counseling and clinical psychologist in practice in New York City. He provides a psychotherapy practice based on meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy and hypnosis. He has been in practice for over 10 years, visiting nursing homes and treating depression, anxiety and trauma. He is now a positive psychologist using Martin Seligman’s program to help transform individuals from just treating mental illness to increasing mental health and finding happiness and fulfillment in life. He sees individual, couples and families. He has had careers as a military officer during Vietnam, a computer programmer, commodities broker, consumer products manager, recruiter and finally psychologist. He is also a teacher of Transcendental Meditation and Mindfulness practices.
