Patricia Hinton Walker, PhD, RN, FAAN, MCC, CBCC is an accomplished coach and ICF (International Coach Federation) Coach Trainer at MentorCoach LLC (an ACTP program) in Bethesda, MD where she teaches Foundations which is focused on ICF Competencies at the PCC level and provides leadership for Health/Wellness Coaching Certification. Pat is certified in wellness (CWC), executive (CEC), body-centered (CBCC), and social-emotional intelligence coaching (SEI Coach). Pat is also one of the few certified Body-Centered Coach Trainers who integrates this content into health/wellness coaching. She is creative, experienced, brings life and humor to teaching/training while focusing on use of evidence-based coaching strategies with extensive virtual education/training experience.
Pat is a nationally and internationally-recognized leader, nurse, academic executive, coach, speaker, and author – having served as a hospital administrator, dean and recently served as a university Vice President. She is recognized as a leader in the application of mHealth (mobile health) technology/data for just-in-time evidence for health behavior change, she advocates for the use of individual mobile health and genomic data for self-management and population health data that can be used to improve health/wellness in businesses and organizations. She is enthusiastic about the emerging focus on ‘citizen science’ which engages ‘persons’ in data collection of their own health, wellness and well-being to advance science! Pat has an established coaching and consultation business and integrates principles from health/wellness coaching into her career, executive and life-transition coaching with national and international clients. As an accomplished writer, she has edited books and authored over 100+ publications related to health, healthcare, and inter-professional education.
