Dr. Kristine Hembre practiced medicine in private and hospital systems. She, after a decade of medical training, found obstacles to providing good cost effective care in a changing health care system. The rising cost of health care includes increased administrative oversight and the erosion of professional autonomy and respect. Kristine chose to leave medical practice and found her way through mindfulness to accept the changes in her life and profession.
Training in Integrative Health Coaching and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction at Duke University, Kristine provides remote coaching for individuals and groups of health professionals. To keep her perspective clearly on the individual not the system she is not working for any corporate providers of health care. She lives in Colorado and enjoys her garden, dog and many ways to exercise including dancing to music in her kitchen.
