Born in Baltimore, I have traveled far and wide before landing in Albuquerque in 2018. I grew up an athlete in a family of five in what seemed a very normal suburban upbringing. A graduate of the University of MD@College Park with a degree in Journalism, it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. So I did lots of different things. I lived in and traveled to many places, trying on various jobs, various cultures.
I received my Master’s degree in Counseling at Southwestern College in 2014 and began practicing immediately and quickly landed a job at an intensive outpatient center that focused on providing group therapy and structure for newly recovering addicts. I grew into myself as a therapist there and discovered a love and knack for leading groups.
I took some time to travel and went through some difficult times in my personal life which led to taking a hiatus for about 15 months and diving deep into healing my self. When I was ready to practice again, I moved to Albuquerque for a different pace and a larger population to work with. I am currently working with adolescents at Del Norte HS a couple days a week, I occasionally see clients for a local ketamine clinic and I continue to see clients in private practice. And I am always continuing the conversation.
