Stephanie Robins, LCSW is well-trained, experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in Individuals, Couples, Adolescents, and Families. She received her B.A. from the University of Georgia, in Psychology, where she graduated Cum Laude, and her M.S.W from the University of Alabama, School of Social Work. Stephanie completed her graduate internship in clinical social work with medical emphasis at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Licensed by the Georgia State Board of Clinical Social Workers, Stephanie is experienced in many aspects of Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy. Prior to entering private practice, Stephanie provided medical social work to Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta, Egleston Campus i the AFLAC Cancer Center. After several years of working in a medical environment, she then transitioned to working for United Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, as an Inpatient/Outpatient Utilization Reviewer in the behavioral health division.
Stephanie has received additional training and certifications that have enhanced her knowledge as well as have made her a sought after specialist in the North Georgia Area. She has given several presentations addressing Parenting, Stress Management, Play Therapy, Parental Alienation, Workplace Issues as well as other clinical therapeutic topics. She is a trainer, consultant, supervisor, as well as a mentor to others in the therapy field.
Additionally, Stephanie is a widely acclaimed psychotherapist with a reputation for her vast knowledge, keeping her practice up to date with the latest techniques and utilizes technology as a means to help along the therapeutic process. She has the ability to relate to her clients in an authentic and empathetic way that is very unique. With such compassion and support in assisting her clients, she provides excellence in her care.
Stephanie is always striving to find many avenues to assist her clients and their families. She is trained as a Parent Coordinator, helping co-parents work together for the betterment of their children. In addition, Stephanie has been trained as a Collaborative Law Divorce Coach as well as a Child Specialist. She has a great interest in helping her clients manage their personal/emotional selves as well as providing parents guidance in helping their children through the divorce process in the most healthy way.
Stephanie is a Certified Mediator. She has undergone 80 hours of special mediation training in both Civil and Domestic Mediation. She says” becoming a Mediator has been a perfect addition to my skill set which has complemented my therapy skills as well as enhancing my ability to manage clients with high conflicts to find positive means towards resolution.”
Married, with a daughter and 2 stepdaughters, Stephanie is serious about health, fitness, college football, movies, dance, and having fun with friends and family.
