Dr. Wu is a neurologist, medical acupuncturist and running coach who uses a holistic and multi-disclipinary approach to help people achieve their health and wellness goals.
Dr. Wu received a B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He received his M.D. degree from Rutgers-RWJ Medical School. He completed his Neurology residency at New York University School of Medicine and subsequently completed a Sleep Medicine fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult Neurology and in Sleep Medicine. Prior to starting Integrative Neurology, Sleep & Acupuncture, Dr. Wu practiced in southern CT and was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at New York Medical College. He has mentored many medical students, residents and fellows.
Dr. Wu first became interested in acupuncture as a medical student, when he was awarded a scholarship by his medical school to attend Fudan Medical University in Shanghai, China to study acupuncture and other related treatment modalities. He later furthered his studies in Medical Acupuncture at the Helms Medical Institute, the premier acupuncture training program for physicians in the US. He is board-certified in Medical Acupuncture through the American Board of Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Wu is an active member of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and has co-authored and published numerous articles and abstracts in the field of Neurology and Sleep Medicine.
An avid runner, he is a sub-3-hour marathoner and a Boston Marathon Qualifier & Finisher. He continues to race in various local and national road races of various distances. As a RRCA-Certified coach, Dr. Wu enjoys working with and helping both new and established runners reach their goals.
